Ficus Ginseng, a Bonsai tree for beginners? It's easy care Enter the Ficus Ginseng. With large roots and oval shaped leaves, this is a member of the Mulberry family and is found across southern Asia. There are more than 2,000 varieties of Ficus trees worldwide and this one isn't just a pretty face - some believe it has healing properties, although we're perfectly happy with it just looking cute in our home.

Light:

Ideally a bright spot near a window. Would thrive with direct morning sun, avoid hot afternoon sun.

Water:

Allow the top half of the soil to dry out between waterings. Think lightly moist.

Maintenance:

Regularly trimming the tree helps keep its shape and promotes healthy growth. Trim back any branches that are too long or overgrown. Pruning in the spring and summer can encourage new growth.

They are great air purifiers and filter airborne toxins like carbon monoxide and benzene.

Current height: 20cms with an eventual height of around 30-60cms.

The sap contains latex so wear gloves if pruning or repotting. Not suitable for pets who like a nibble.

Comes in your choice of pot with detailed care instructions.
