Beautiful blooms of Schlumbergera truncata 'Thanksgiving Cactus', I have pink, orange and white flowering varieties.

They bloom during October and November and make an ideal table centrepiece. When stems grow longer, they elegantly cascade.

Unlike desert cactus this variety grows epiphytically on the trunks of trees in the tropical rainforests in South America.

⛅Thanksgiving cactus thrives in bright but indirect sunlight – ideally positioned close to an east or north-facing window. In autumn and winter, they can benefit from more direct light than during the spring and summer.

💧Water when the top inch has dried out.

😅 As a rainforest cactus they enjoy humidity so steamy kitchens or bathrooms are ideal. Alternatively put a tray of moistened pebbles under the pot.

🌸 Flowering

Giving these plants a rest period is crucial to ensure flowering every year.

*Keep in the dark: At the end of September or in early October, start placing your Thanksgiving cactus in a dark room or covering it with a box for at least 13 hours a day for about eight weeks.

*Move to a cooler area: Ensure the plant is in a room where the temperature stays consistently between 12-15°C.

Allow the soil to dry out more but not completely.

Once the flower buds begin to appear resume the plant's usual care routine.

Comes with your choice of pot and a detailed care label.
