Also known as butterfly or arrowhead plant this new variety of Syngonium podophyllum 'Mottled' has striking green and white variegated foliage. .
Native to the South American rainforests its leaves change shape as they age into five lobes.
Syngonium Batik prefers medium to bright indirect light but will do ok in lower light. They don't like direct sunlight.
It's fairly undemanding when it comes to watering, let the top half of soil dry out before watering but don't let the soil dry completely.
It will grow happily without extra warmth and humidity but to really thrive give it both. Ideal for a steamy bathroom or kitchen or you could place a container of moistened pebbles under the pot.
Current height about 15cms
Can grow to a maximum height of 60cms+ over time.
It is vining in nature but can be pruned to retain its shape.
